Shortly after we entered Masai Mara in the morning

Shortly after we entered Masai Mara in the morning, our guide clearly got excited when an update came in over the radio. A few minutes later we were greeted by the legendary Nashipae with her sub-adult cubs. Cheetah have such an elegance over them so I was happy to see them walk around, cuddle & stretch before they resumed resting in the shade.

I had the absolute joy & pleasure of traveling for 2weeks through Kenya & Tanzania with @intrepidtravel , connecting with amazing people and sharing wonderful experiences. Some random memories:

1. My 3th trip to Africa finally delivered a majestic king. 🦁
2. Oops, our land cruiser got stuck while crossing the Mara river.
3. Fun bunch for the first week through Kenya
4. Meet my Masai husband

7. Setting up camp on lovely locations
8. Pro-tip: having to pee and a bumpy tuktuk ride are not the best combo
9. Parking with a view in Ngorongoro (and enjoying an ice cream while at it!)

Some of the birds I snapped at Rietvlei Nature Res

Some of the birds I snapped at Rietvlei Nature Reserve in South Africa. 📸 It was my last stop before it was time to head home again after 2.5 weeks of being immersed in nature. I was virtually alone in this reserve (only a handful of other cars) and I loved my drive here. Especially birders will love it here, but also if you like to see some different antilopes that you (almost) cannot spot in Kruger, I can highly recommend visiting. I advise spending about 4 hours here, which allows you to circumvent the entire nature reserve, visit the picnic spots and bird hides and enjoy a coffee.

Ah hello there! 🦒 I really enjoy watching these tall elegant yet a but clumpsy animals roam around the bush. Did you know a herd of giraf is also called a journey? Maybe that’s why I like them 😅 Which picture is your favorite?
